Reflections on the Libra eclipse

Last night, I had the privilege to teach a group of women about eclipses. What they are, what they symbolize, and how to use them to look backward and forward in time. It was a beautiful evening, though it was not spared from the eclipse chaos (there were fire engines blaring their sirens intermittently for two hours straight for the open house at the fire station down the street). I eventually found my footing within all that noise and delivered a decent talk filled with great discussion and connection with the other women there.

At the end of my portion of the event, I offered up some points of reflection on this particular eclipse in Libra that could be used as journal prompts or just to be sat with. I thought I'd share them here for those who are taking in all of the recent events and energy of eclipse season.

  • How can we build stronger relationships through strengthening our relationship with ourselves? When we can accept our authentic selves, warts and all, it makes it easier to accept others.

  • What am I responsible for? What is not my responsibility? This can be in relationships or in life in general. One of my favorite quotes I've heard over the past few years is, "What other people think of me is none of my business."

  • In what ways have I been going with the flow or being passive when I should be taking initiative?

  • In what ways have I put the definition of myself in the hands of others?

  • Where have I avoided conflict in favor of keeping the peace? Sometimes, this is the right move. Sometimes, we might need to address difficult things.

  • Where have I forsaken my unique self in exchange for respectability?

Wishing you all lots of peace in this time of great uncertainty. May you find your footing and steadiness in the chaos.

xo,

Janessa
